Steady Start With Mid-Race Challenges Team Miktlanzihuatl held a consistent 9:00 min/mile pace for the first three miles, solidifying their position in the upper tier of their division. By mile 6, the pace saw a slight decline, maintaining a 10:38 min/mile pace. The pace then stabilized around 11:03 to 11:17 min/mile between miles 7 to 11. A noteworthy recovery was observed by mile 12, where a faster 10:54 min/mile pace was achieved, showing a return to efficiency. From mile 16, there was a more significant drop in speed, resulting in the overall pace settling at 13:06 min/mile by the end of the race. Despite finishing 21st overall in a field of 23, the team demonstrated an ability to recover pace towards the latter part of the race, particularly between miles 22 to 23.
