Consistent Performance with Strong Efforts Early On Macady Mason participated in the 2026 Deseret News Marathon's 10K event, displaying a solid effort. Starting strong, she maintained an impressive 8:28 min/mile pace in the first mile, securing the 155th place among females. Her second mile was faster with an 8:16 min/mile pace, improving to 144th in the female category. A notable challenge arose in the third mile with a 9:28 min/mile pace, but Macady quickly adjusted her pace to 8:54 and 8:48 in the subsequent miles. While the final mile showed some difficulty at a 10:21 min/mile pace, Macady's overall time of 56:04 and a consistent 9:02 min/mile pace demonstrate her resilience. She finished 38th in her F15-18 division, retaining a spot as a key participant in her category and continued to represent the Layton B Women team commendably. Enhancing endurance for the latter part of the race could be beneficial for future events.
