Consistent Performance with Dynamic Pace Adjustments Jack Sayre from Riverton, Utah, showcased a strong performance in the 2026 Deseret News Marathon 10K event. Jack, representing Mountain Ridge Men, demonstrated remarkable pacing skills with an overall time of 35:35 and an average pace of 5:44 per mile. Starting with a strong 5:13-mile pace, he made strategic adjustments, maintaining consistency throughout the race. He achieved a noteworthy improvement during the second split, with a 5:09-mile pace, making it his fastest segment. Throughout the race, Jack consistently placed within the top ranks despite fluctuations in pace. Finishing 18th within his M15-18 division in a field of 1,197 participants, he demonstrated capability and endurance.
