Consistent Splits Lead to Solid Finish During the 2026 Deseret News Marathon 10K, Joshua Nielson demonstrated consistent pacing across his splits with an overall elapsed pace of 5:35 min/mile. His initial mile was the fastest at 5:06 min/mile, while maintaining a strong pace throughout, particularly in the first two miles where his overall placement slightly fluctuated around 70th place but improved by the end. Joshua's overall position improved as the race progressed, notably finishing in 60th place overall, advancing his standing significantly in the final miles. He finished strongly with a time of 34:40. In the Men's 15-18 Division, he moved up to finish in 18th place. These results reflect steady progress and strong finish dynamics, especially in the later stages of the race.
