Strong Start with Consistent Effort Samuel Jarrett maintained a remarkable pace during the 10K at the 2026 Deseret News Marathon. His initial mile clocked in at an impressive 4:42, placing him 19th overall and 4th in the M15-18 division. Throughout the race, Samuel demonstrated consistent pacing, particularly showing resilience during the second mile with a slightly slower 4:44 pace, yet improving to 17th overall. His ability to sustain a competitive pace is noteworthy, with an overall average pace of 5:18 min/mile for the entire race. Samuel secured 6th place in his division, which is an admirable achievement considering the field of 1197 participants. There was slight variance in the latter stages as his pace dipped to a 5:47 split between miles four and five. Focusing on maintaining the pace in the middle sections could further enhance his performance. His performance contributed positively to the Mountain Ridge Men's team.
