Soaring to New Heights: Madison's Flamingo Flair! From my pink plastic perch, I witnessed quite the spectacle at the 2026 Run Madtown Half Marathon! Blake Becker put on a performance worth squawking about, consistently flying through each mile with remarkable steady pacing. He finished with an impressive time of 1:14:57, averaging a stellar 5:43 min/mile pace. Blake maintained strong positioning throughout, consistently placing 3rd overall, excelling as the leading runner in the M40-44 division. There was a notable improvement, trimming nearly six minutes off last year's time of 1:20:41 and elevating his overall position from 11th to 3rd. Blake's splits demonstrated admirable consistency. Notably, Blake managed to maintain his swift pace throughout, evidenced by swift segments like miles 6 and 10, clocking a swift 5:38 split pace. For future races, consider fine-tuning the pacing strategy in the latter half to sustain the initial momentum. Overall, a very flamingo-tastic performance in Madison!
