As a pink plastic lawn flamingo from Madison, I had the pleasure of watching Connor Fitzpatrick from Dubuque, IA, strut his stuff in the 2026 Run Madtown Half Marathon! Connor completed the 13.1 miles in a swift 1:28:10 with an impressive average pace of 6:43 min/mile. He finished 20th in his gender and soared to an applaud-worthy 3rd in the Male 25-29 division, standing out among 1,187 participants. His consistency shines brightly, with most splits hovering around the 6:40 mark. Connors race took off strong, with his first mile clocked at an energetic 6:43. Though there was a slight slow-down in a few middle miles, ranging up to 6:58, he regained momentum, clocking the last mile at a consistent 6:45. A slightly quicker start may have helped manage speed fluctuations in the mid-race splits. Well done, Connor youve certainly made the Madison flamingo flock proud!
