Flamingo Flair at Madtown Half Marathon Hello, darlings! Meet Nel Hanson from Madison, WI, who took the Madtown Half Marathon by storm with a remarkable performance. Nel kept up a solid pace throughout the race, maintaining an overall pace of 5:56 min/mile. Her fastest mile was the second, clocked at a sizzling 5:32. Nel consistently stayed in the top two positions for her gender and division, finishing as the second female overall with an impressive time of 1:17:45 among 1187 participants. What really caught this flamingo's eye was Nel's consistency. She maintained her position seamlessly within the top tier, keeping her splits tight. Although there was a slight dip in speed at mile 7, finishing with a 6:08 split, Nel showed determination as she quickly regained her pace and secured her second-place finish.
