Consistent Climb in Madtown Half Marathon Hello from Madison! Matt Redepenning strutted through the 2026 Run Madtown like a true flamingo, notching a time of 1:22:46 over 13.1 miles. He placed 2nd in the M40-44 division and finished 11th overall out of 1187 participants, holding a solid pace of 6:19 min/mile. What's worth chirping about is the steady performance maintained throughout the race. Thanks to a strong start with mile splits of sub-6-minute, particularly at mile 2 with a pace of 5:44 min/mile, Matt set a strong tone early on. While the overall pace saw a gradual yet slight increase after mile 5, Matt preserved endurance and finished strong in his division. Comparing it to last year's 2025 race, his time only trailed by 29 seconds. A fabulous display of progression in the age division, especially with a past top finish for M35-39. With focused endurance training, future races will see even more flamingo flair on the course!
