Graceful Run and Steady Finish As we raced through Madison's iconic sights, it was Betty Chepkwony's buoyant performance that captured the day. Clocking an impressive total elapsed time of 1:17:49, Betty maintained an overall pace of 5:56 min/mile. This rhythmic cadence propelled her to the top of the Female category, placing 1st among her peers. Gaining momentum early, she showcased a swift second mile with a remarkable 5:29 min/mile pace, allowing her to secure 7th place overall out of a total of 1187 participants. Betty's consistency is noteworthy, as she managed to hold her position in the top ranks throughout the race. She displayed resilience around the halfway point, maintaining a pace just under 6:00 min/mile in each subsequent mile.
