Faster than a Flamingo in Flight! With a flourish of feathers and speed that would make any flamingo proud, Thomas Farran took on the 2026 Run Madtown 5K with optimal flair and energy from start to finish. In a sea of 852 participants, he cruised through the course at an impressive 6:53 min/mile pace, completing the race in just 21:20. Being a proud M25-29 division racer, he secured an outstanding 3rd place in his age group. Thomas started strong with a first-mile time of 7:10, progressively improving his speed to finish each mile faster. This strategic acceleration saw him advance from 30th to an incredible 17th place overall, proving his mettle in this festive race. His consistency in pacing during the later miles played a key role in maintaining his position. If there is an area to be ambitious about, a slightly faster start could give him an edge in future races. Keep those wings flapping, Thomas!
