First in Division: Nicole Takes Flight! Greetings from the front yard! Nicole Straavaldson took the vibrant Madtown scene by storm in the 2026 Run Madtown's 1 Mile Rudy's Rainbow Mile, clocking in at exactly 11:01. Her precision pace of 11:01 min/mile was on point! She soared to the top, securing 1st in the F30-34 division. Out of 112 eager participants, Nicole earnestly flapped her way to finish as the 10th female overall and 24th overall. Flamingo high-five for those stats! When comparing previous races, it's noteworthy how Nicole's short-distance pace sparkled when aligned with her half marathon and 5K results. While her performance in the half marathon registered a 12:08 min/mile pace, this 1-mile race showcased a faster cadence. The contrast between her mile pace and the 10:42 min/mile from the 5K exemplifies her adaptability to different race lengths. Continued focus on speed work could elevate Nicole's already impressive results even further in future sprints.
