Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish in Madison's Flamingo Fest Jordan Magistad truly embraced the vibrant energy of the 2026 Run Madtown! Throughout the 5K race, Jordan showcased impressive pacing with an overall elapsed time of 18:22, averaging a pace of 5:55 min/mile. Notably, the first mile was covered in 5:38, which contributed to holding the lead in the M25-29 category for the first and final miles. A small slow down was seen during the second mile with a pace of 5:53 min/mile, but an overall finish of 4th place shows a strong performance amidst a total of 852 participants. In comparison to previous 5K achievements, Jordan has improved on last year's elapsed time of 18:29. Maintaining that consistency, Jordan also achieved a first-place finish in the M25-29 division. Considering the change from a 10K pace of 6:18 min/mile last year, the improved 5K pace highlights the strength in sustained speed. Keep focusing on maintaining even splits for even better results.
