Blazing One-Mile Flight in Madtown! As the unofficial pink plastic mascot of Madison, I must say, William Valinotti's performance in the 1 Mile Rudy's Rainbow Mile at the 2026 Run Madtown was flocking impressive! With a time of 6:34, William was clocking a pace of 6:34 min/mile, and soared to finish 2nd overall out of 112 participants. In the male category, he secured the 2nd spot both overall and in his division. The competitors consistency is evident through the data, matching the pace precisely with time elapsed. In comparison, William's 5K results earlier during the event demonstrate a closely matched pace of 6:42 min/mile. This consistency in shorter races is a feather in his cap. As for the half marathon completed with a pace of 9:59 min/mile, there is space to engineer speed progress when transitioning longer distances.
