Strong Finish in Difficult Terrain David Lee from Colorado Springs completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an impressive time of 4:28:56. His overall place was 637th out of 2049 participants and 476th among all male runners. In his age division (55-59), David secured a commendable 20th position. He maintained an average pace of 20:07 minutes per mile over the 13.36-mile race course. David began with dynamic momentum, clocking a 9:19-minute mile at the Ruxton split. As the elevation increased to 14,061 feet, his pace naturally slowed. The mile from A-Frame to 2.5 Miles To Go was the most demanding, with an average pace dipping to 23:54 minutes. David's final stretch up the mountain saw the most significant pace drop at 31:15 minutes per mile. Despite the challenging elevation and terrain, David's performance in the higher altitudes demonstrates admirable endurance in this tough trail ascent.
