Starting strong, Austin was in a promising 173rd place overall at the beginning. Notably, his pace at Ruxton was brisk at 9:43 min/mile, helping him secure a solid footing early on. As the course progressed and the elevation increased, Austin maintained consistency across the midsections, notably reducing his pace to 15:41 min/mile by the 7.8 Summit.
