Consistent Performance on Challenging Terrain Meredith Bruner demonstrated a consistently strong performance at the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent, covering 13.36 miles in 3:22:21. Tackling the ascent from 6,303 to 14,061 feet, Meredith pushed through a grueling course to secure the 3rd place in her division F30-34 among 2049 participants, finishing 22nd in her gender and 127th overall. Her overall pace was 15:08 per mile, impressive given the significant elevation gain. Meredith maintained her division ranking for most of the race, with a slight drop at the "2.5 Miles To Go" marker, before recovering her pace toward the finish. Notably, Meredith's early splits showed potential with a quick 7:13 per mile pace at Ruxton. Though her pace naturally declined with the rising altitude, her performance remained robust with a final split pace of 21:59 above 14,000 feet. For future races, she could target maintaining the energy expended in the earlier stages for an even stronger finish.
