Steady and Tenacious Climb Angelyn Rogers completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 6:19:44 over a 13.36-mile course, averaging a pace of 28:25 min/mile. A steady start from the beginning positioned her amongst her peers, finishing 90th in her F40-44 division. Her initial segment at Ruxton displayed a strong 11:14 min/mile pace, demonstrating her ability to manage the early elevation gains which began at 6303 feet. The climb to 9461 feet at "7.8 Summit," with a 25:51 min/mile pace, showed a consistent effort despite increasing challenges. Notable splits included a challenging section to "Bottomless Pit" at an elevation of 10819 feet, with a split pace of 42:39 min/mile. Angelyn achieved her steepest progress near the finish, with the ultimate mile requiring a determined effort, completing it in 44:30. This experience will be invaluable for future efforts on similar challenging terrains. Keep an eye on reducing the pace variation across different segments.
