Grayson's Exceptional Improvement on Pikes Peak Grayson Lee completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent half marathon in a time of 2:41:42, achieving a pace of 12:06 min/mile over the challenging 13.36-mile course. Notably, he secured 19th place overall among 2049 participants, marking a marked improvement from his previous 83rd place finish in the 2024 race. His consistent performance was evident, particularly in placing 4th within his age division (20-24), underscoring his effective race strategy and adaptation to the high-altitude environment. Grayson's race started strong at Ruxton with a 5:56 min/mile pace. As the race progressed, he faced slower splits reflecting the increasing altitude and fatigue, particularly from A-Frame (15:38 min/mile) onwards. A point of interest was his 10th position at the 1.5-mile marker, temporarily moving up before finishing 19th overall. Future efforts could explore maintaining momentum in the final segments for increased consistency. His performance displayed determination and resilience deserving commendation.
