Consistent Improvement at High Altitude Daniel Crespo completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon with an impressive elapsed time of 3:02:18, a significant improvement from the 2024 race time of 3:19:44. This resulted in an overall place of 57 out of 2049 participants, an advance from 101st place in the previous year. Daniel maintained an average pace of 13:38 min/mile, reducing it from last year's 14:57 min/mile. This reflects a noteworthy enhancement in performance amidst the challenging conditions. Looking at the splits, Daniel's early pace was strong with a swift time of 6:41 at the Ruxton marker, but understandably decelerated in the steep final stages. Notably, from the 'A-Frame' at 10.29 miles to the finish, his pace gradually increased, ending with a pace of 19:23 in the final stretch.
