Efficient Progress at Altitude Kimberly Gooch, 37, from Colorado Springs, CO completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent Half Marathon in 4:44:18. Her average pace was 21:16 min/mile over the 13.36-mile course, a notable improvement from the previous year’s pace of 22:21 min/mile. Notably, her overall placement improved from 862nd in 2024 to 810th this year. Analyzing her splits, Kimberly demonstrated efficient pacing during the early segments, starting with a strong 9:02 min/mile pace at the Ruxton checkpoint.
