Impressive Time Improvement at High Altitude for Trevor Nau Trevor Nau completed the 2025 Pikes Peak Ascent with an elapsed time of 6:10:11, cutting down over 10 minutes from his previous participation a year ago. Even with the demanding elevation change from 6,303 feet to 14,061 feet over 13.36 miles, Trevor maintained a consistent pace, finishing with an overall pace of 27:42 min/mile. Notably, he improved his overall placement from 1,460 to 1,511 despite the increased number of participants, indicating real progress in performance compared to his last race. His placement in the M35-39 division held steady, showcasing resilience in a competitive age group. Trevor's splits demonstrate a considerable effort, particularly his noticeable pace increase between the "7.8 Summit" and "Barr Camp" sections, clocking in at 16:42 min/mile. The final challenging miles saw a typical, expected slowdown; however, Trevor's finish strong with a 19:40 time on the final 0.5257-mile segment shows commendable consistency. Future strategies might focus on maintaining stamina through the tree line, especially as elevation impacts endurance and pacing.
