Strong First Half with Slight Slowdown Ryan Restau from Corvallis, OR, competed in the 2026 Run Super Series | Super Hyak Marathon. His impressive start saw him maintain consistent splits under 6:30 min/mile for the majority of the race, showcasing a strong pacing strategy. Notably, from mile 1 to mile 5, his per mile pace improved, highlighted by a swift 6:10 min/mile at the 5th mile mark. Reaching the 14th mile, Ryan clocked a split pace of 6:05 min/mile, demonstrating his capability to push through the middle stages of the marathon. In the later parts, Ryan's pace slightly decreased with an 8:02 min/mile at mile 6 and an 8:50 min/mile at mile 24. These splits suggest a potential area to work on endurance for the final stretch.
