Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Sameer Thakkar #2966 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Fast effort with strong age-group standing Sameer covered 0.30 km in 1:51, averaging 5:18/km. He placed 419th of 2630 men, 1531st among men, and 2747th overall out of 5624 participants. That puts him in roughly the top half of the field overall and in a solid mid-pack age-group position. This was part of the Canary Wharf night-run format, where speed is the focus on closed roads through the financial district. For such a short effort, the key positive is the ability to get up to pace quickly. A useful next step would be sharpening acceleration and sustaining that early speed a little longer over the opening kilometre in future efforts.
