Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Matthew Caron #555 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Exceptional speed in a short-distance effort Matthew covered 0.30 km in 1:10, averaging 3:57/km. He ranked 303rd of 5,624 overall, 157th among men, and 48th in the mens 2630 division. That placed him in roughly the top 5.4% of the field overall, a strong result in a large event. A standout stat: he passed 26 runners in the On Speed Zone, showing good acceleration over this brief segment. In an evening race known for its fast closed-road 5K setting through Canary Wharf, this was a sharp, efficient effort. For future races, maintaining this kind of speed over a longer measured segment would be a useful next target.
