Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Ben Lawes #72 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Exceptional speed over a short segment Ben covered 0.30 km in 1:06, averaging 3:46 min/km. He passed 11 runners in the On Speed Zone and placed 190th overall out of 5,624 participants, putting him near the front of a very large field. Within the mens field, he was 78th, and 22nd in the mens 2630 category. This was a sharp, efficient effort in a fast evening race setting through Canary Wharf. The standout stat is the pace: holding 3:46 min/km, even over a short segment, shows strong top-end speed. As a coachs note, the key next step would be extending that speed across longer race segments while keeping the same control and efficiency.
