Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Simon Shen #6718 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Sharp speed-zone effort with strong percentile finish Simon covered 0.30 km in 1:26, averaging 4:50/km. He passed 26 runners in the speed zone and finished 1,072nd of 5,624 overall, placing him in roughly the top 19% of the field. Among men, he was 710th, and in the M2630 division he placed 212th. This was a short, quick segment, so the key stat is speed: 4:50/km over 0.30 km. The passing count also stands out, showing good intent through the zone. For future efforts, a useful target would be holding that pace a little longer across the full section while keeping the same ability to move past runners cleanly. As part of Run The Wharfs evening Canary Wharf setup, this was a concise, efficient piece of racing.
