Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Ayanfe Coker #523 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Sharp speed over a short effort Ayanfe covered 0.30 km in 1:22, averaging 4:38/km. In a large field of 5,624, he finished 828th overall, 533rd among men, and 110th in the mens 1825 division. That places him in roughly the top 15% overall, a strong result for this short-format effort. The standout stat is the pace: 4:38/km sustained over 300 metres. In an event tied to Canary Wharfs fast evening atmosphere, that kind of speed is a useful marker of raw turnover. For future short efforts, the main focus is simply holding that pace a little longer as distance increases.
