Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Sam Dewick #1135 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Fast short effort at 5:09/km pace Sam covered 0.30 km in 1:31, averaging 5:09/km. Among 5,624 participants, he placed 1,456th overall, 939th among men, and 130th in the mens 3640 division. That pace is a useful benchmark for speed over a very short effort. This was part of the Canary Wharf evening event, known for its closed-road city-centre setting and quick 5K atmosphere. For coaching purposes, the key stat here is the strong pace rather than finishing position, since the recorded distance was brief. A next step would be to hold a similar pace across a longer measured segment to better assess endurance alongside speed.
