Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Hugo Smyth #3094 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Top-15 age-group finish with sharp speed-zone result Hugo Smyth covered 0.30 km in 1:27, averaging 4:55/km. He passed 37 runners in the On Speed Zone and placed 13th in the male 55+ division, a notable age-group result in a field of 5,624 participants. He was also 773rd among men and 1,171st overall. This was a short, high-speed effort, and the numbers point to strong acceleration over the segment. Passing 37 runners in just 0.30 km stands out most. The strongest stat here is the age-group placing, which suggests good relative speed against his peers. For future efforts, maintaining that same aggressive pace over a slightly longer segment would be a useful benchmark.
