Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Adefemi Adeniyi #7327 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Explosive pace over a very short segment Adefemi covered 0.30 km in 1:27, averaging 4:56/km. He passed 36 runners in the On Speed Zone, a strong indicator of quick acceleration and effective speed over a short distance. Against 5,624 participants, he placed 1,195th overall, 787th among men, and 155th in the male 1825 category. This was a brief effort, but the key stat is the pace: under 5:00/km across the segment. Gaining 36 places in just 0.30 km stands out and suggests he handled the fast, closed-road Canary Wharf section well. As a coaching note, this kind of speed is a useful asset; the next step is applying it consistently across longer race segments.
