Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Jack Welch #6290 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Very quick effort with strong speed over a short distance Jack covered 0.30 km in 1:39, averaging 5:35/km. In a field of 5,624, he placed 1,996th overall, 1,230th among men, and 239th in the M3135 division. That pace converts cleanly from 8:59/mile and shows good turnover across a very short effort. This was part of the Canary Wharf Friday Night Lights setting, where the closed-road evening run is built for fast running through the financial district. For future outings, maintaining this speed over a longer measured distance would be a useful next step and would give a fuller picture of endurance alongside raw pace.
