Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Kitty Mccarthy #4184 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Blistering Short-Distance Speed with Top-Quarter Female Finish Kitty covered 0.30 km in 1:27, averaging 4:55/km. She placed 1,175th of 5,624 overall, 260th female, and 88th in the female 2630 category. That puts her around the top 21% overall and top 5% among women in a large field. A standout stat: she passed 13 runners in the On Speed Zone, showing sharp acceleration over a very short effort. For a closed-road evening event through Canary Wharf, this was a fast, efficient burst. As a coachs note, the raw speed is clear; the next step would be extending that pace across a longer segment while holding the same finishing sharpness.
