Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Matthew Bates #6422 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Quick effort with strong percentile standing Matthew covered 0.30 km in 1:32, averaging 5:12/km. He passed 36 runners in the On Speed Zone, a notable stat over such a short section. Against 5,624 participants, he finished 1,520th overall, placing him in roughly the top 27% of the field. Among men, he was 973rd, and in the Male 2630 division he placed 276th. This was a brief, high-speed effort within Run The Wharfs evening Canary Wharf format, where fast running is part of the events social atmosphere. For future attempts, the focus is simple: hold that 5:12/km speed a little longer over the timed segment to move up quickly in this kind of condensed ranking.
