Date: Sept. 3, 2026 Participant: Joe Church #6645 Race: 2026 Run The Wharf On Speed Zone

Explosive speed over a short segment Joe covered 0.30 km in 1:29, averaging 5:03 min/km. He passed 8 runners during the segment, a strong indicator of good positioning and finishing intent over a very short effort. Against a field of 5,624, he placed 1,340th overall, 870th among men, and 246th in the male 2630 category. This was a brief performance snapshot rather than a full race-distance effort, but the key stat is clear: 8 places gained in 300 metres. In a fast evening run through Canary Wharf, that suggests he was able to keep momentum and move well relative to those around him. For future efforts like this, maintaining that same pace earlier in the segment could help convert late gains into even more places.
