Steady Start and Persistent Finish Angelica Martinez demonstrated a consistent performance at the 2026 Surf City 10 Miler. She maintained a strong start with her first two splits at an identical pace of 11:08 min/mile. Her splits between miles 3 and 6 saw a slight increase in time, where her pace varied from 11:56 to 13:05 min/mile. Despite this, Angelica's placement remained competitive in the Female 35-39 division, with notable stability throughout the majority of the race. Towards the later stages, Angelica rallied back with a well-paced final mile of 12:10 min/mile, concluding the race in an overall time of 2:04:22. Her resolve toward the last few miles was evident, as she elevated her placement within her division and gender overall. Participating among 4,391 entrants, her final standing was commendable.
