Impressive Top Division Finish and Consistent Pace Maintenance Mario Salguero delivered an impressive performance during the 2026 Surf City 10 Miler. He maintained a solid overall pace of 6:16 minutes per mile, finishing with a final time of 1:02:45. This achievement secured him 70th place overall out of 4,391 participants, 60th in the male category, and an exceptional 2nd place in the Male 40-44 division. Mario started strong with his fastest mile at 5:55 and held a consistent pace throughout the race. Notably, he displayed resilience and consistency in his pacing, which remained consistently around the 6:10 to 6:29 minutes per mile range after the initial mile. The progress in placement during the initial splits should be noted; by the 2-mile mark, Mario moved up from 75th to 58th position overall. Maintaining strong division placement and consistent pacing throughout are clear strengths. Great job representing Team AVRWF!
