Impressive Division Finish at Surf City 10 Susan Sternberg delivered a strong performance at the 2026 Surf City 10, completing the 10K with an overall time of 59:16 and an impressive average pace of 9:33 min/mile. Notably, she secured 2nd place in the Female 60-64 division. Her race execution was consistent, starting with a 9:42 min/mile pace in the first mile and progressively improving her split times, finishing the last mile at an impressive 9:01 min/mile pace. Throughout the race, Susan improved her overall positioning, rising from 507th place at the first mile to finish in 467th place overall out of 2,818 participants. Her placement was 132nd out of all female competitors. Staying strong after each mile, Susan demonstrated her ability to maintain and quicken her pace, resulting in a fantastic finish for her team, *Beach Cities Road Runners.
