Steady Improvement and Strong Finish Miguel showcased a consistent effort in the "2026 Surf City 10" with an official elapsed time of 1:04:09 over the 10K course, maintaining a steady average pace of 10:20 min/mile. Notably, Miguel improved position from the 1-mile mark onwards, moving up from 713th to an excellent mid-race position of 494th overall at the 4-mile mark. Demonstrating perseverance and dedication, Miguel finished strong and was a valuable contributor to The Saxons. The progression through the splits was encouraging with gradual pace enhancements noted early in the race. Splits at 3 and 4 miles saw Miguel achieving his best paces of the event at 10:16 and 10:13 min/mile, respectively, and gaining over 200 positions by the fourth mile. Although the final two miles saw a slight deceleration, Miguels overall performance remains commendable, showing potential for further positional gains with strategic pacing towards the race's end.
