Consistent Pace, Stellar Division Finish Evan Weitzman, at just 16, demonstrated remarkable skill in the 2026 Surf City 10 10K race. Starting strong with a first-mile split of 5:32, he established an impressive pace early on. Maintaining consistency, his overall pace averaged 5:59 min/mile. Notably, despite a slight decrease in pace as the race progressed, Evan held his position impressively across the board, finishing 17th overall and 16th among men. Most outstandingly, Evan secured the top spot in his division (M 15-19), showcasing his competitive edge among his peers. His final elapsed time was 37:11, a noteworthy achievement in a field of 2,818 participants. Maintaining a strong finish, his determination and endurance reflect his potential for future races. Gradually improving split times by examining pace adjustments could strengthen his performance further. Excellent performance, Evan!
