Consistent Effort with Gradual Pacing James Nonno from Orange, CA demonstrated steady pacing in the 2026 Surf City 10, finishing with an official time of 1:23:19 over the 6.2-mile course. Starting with a solid pace of 10:50 min/mile for the first mile, he settled into a consistent rhythm. The most notable split came during mile 2, maintaining an 11:14 min/mile pace, showing potential for sustaining speed longer. His placing within the Male 35-39 division was 160th and overall 1801st out of 2818 participants. While there was a gradual slow down, particularly noticeable in the final mile with a 16:48 min/mile pace, the effort was commendable. For future races, focusing on sustaining early paces for longer would enhance performance. Keep using this experience as a base to improve endurance for upcoming events.
