Steady Gains in the Surf City 10 Richard Madrigal from Orange, CA, competed in the 2026 Surf City 10, demonstrating a steady and consistent effort over the 10K course. He maintained a solid average pace, completing the race with an overall time of 1:23:22 and an elapsed pace of 13:26 min/mile. A noteworthy aspect of Richard's performance was his initial strong pace, opening with 11:21 and 11:01 minute miles for his first two splits. These consistent early miles helped him establish a good rhythm. Over the 6.2 miles, Richard's determination was evident as he placed 69th in the Male 45-49 division out of a total field of 2818 participants.
