Increasing Speed and Strong Finish! Ashley Huang delivered a consistent and commendable performance at the 2026 Surf City 10 Miler in Irvine, CA. Throughout the race, she progressively increased her pace, completing the ten miles with an impressive finishing time of 1:42:14. Ashley started with a 10:43 min/mile pace on her first mile, steadily improving with each subsequent mile. By mile 10, she achieved her fastest split at 9:14 min/mile. Ashley's ability to pick up speed over the race contributed to her strong completion. She moved up significantly from an initial overall place of 2015 to finishing at 1625 out of 4391 participants. Notably, in her division (F 25-29), she improved from 119th to finishing 74th. Being a part of Team MTS, Ashleys performance showcased endurance and strategy. Continued efforts on the initial miles would serve her well in future races. Keep up the strong momentum!
