Strong Finish with Rising Momentum Alex Yee represented the Huntington Run Club with a consistent and impressive performance at the 2026 Surf City 10, showcasing particularly notable pacing improvements after the initial splits. Starting with an 8:00 min/mile pace, Alex managed to progressively increase his pace, culminating in a swift 7:43 min/mile on the final mile. His splits reflect a concerted negative-split effort, showcasing strategic pacing throughout the 10K race. Finishing with an elapsed time of 48:54 and an average pace of 7:53 min/mile, Alex's placement was commendable128th overall and 103rd among male runners out of 2,818 participants. He also secured the 22nd spot in his division (M 35-39). By maintaining a consistently strong pace, especially during the latter half of the race, Alex demonstrated the potential for even greater achievements in future events.
