Steady Progress and Strong Finish on Display Joseph Castro from RCH Cucamonga, CA, demonstrated consistent pacing throughout the 2026 Surf City 10 Miler, finishing with a commendable total time of 1:26:02. His performance showed a marked acceleration, culminating with an impressive final mile paced at 7:31 min/mile. Starting with an 8:51 min/mile pace, Joseph's gradual improvement in splits was evident, particularly from mile 7 onward. He successfully advanced his overall placement significantly from 916th to 726th. Joseph's performance within the Male 25-29 division was noteworthy, finishing 95th. His biggest leap came in the latter miles, where his pace dropped consistently to 8:09 and eventually 7:31, showcasing a strong and strategic push in the final stages of the race.
