Steady Progress with a Strong Finish Chris Charbonnet, racing for Team Foothill Tortas, completed the 2026 Surf City 10-miler with a final time of 1:51:22. Averaging an 11:08 min/mile pace, Chris demonstrated noticeable consistency. Early splits reflected a small increase in pace between miles 1 and 2 from a 10:34 to 11:46 min/mile, but he quickly found a steadier pace. He notably improved his placement during mile 8, moving up substantially to 1614th overall. In his M 60-64 age division, Chris finished 35th out of a significant number of runners, and secured 1291st place among male competitors. His strong performance is illustrated by the consistent improvement from his early splits. Especially during miles 6 and 7, where his pace stabilized right around 11:00 min/mile.
