Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Yee Sung Tan delivered a steady performance in the 2026 Surf City 10 Miler, maintaining an impressive average pace of 8:48 min/mile over the 10-mile course. Throughout the race, Yee Sung was able to keep splits predominantly in the mid-8 minute range, with a notable faster segment in mile five at 8:22 min/mile. This solid pacing strategy saw a strong improvement in standings as he progressed through the racefrom starting in 757th place overall at the first mile to finishing in 823rd place out of 4391 participants. Despite a gradual slowing in the latter part of the race, Yee Sung effectively held his division position, finishing 40th out of all male participants aged 45-49. In addition, he consistently remained within the top 600 male participants and top 40 in his division. Yee Sungs performance exemplifies his capacity for endurance and smart pacing.
