Steady Effort with Strong Mid-Race Performance Nathan Shue from Henderson, NV, delivered a consistent performance in the 2026 Surf City 10 Miler. Maintaining an even pace throughout, Nathan began with a 9:56 min/mile in the first mile and found his fastest split at 9:40 min/mile by mile 2. Notably, from miles 1 to 5, Nathan improved his division placement, peaking at 98th in mile 3. The middle portion of the race showed his ability to maintain a competitive pace. Towards the latter stages, Nathan experienced a slight decrease in pace, culminating in an 11:37 min/mile at mile 9. However, even during these challenging segments, Nathan maintained resilience, finishing the race with an overall time of 1:43:19 and an average pace of 10:19 min/mile.
