Strong Finish and Consistent Performance Micah Raney delivered a steady performance in the 2026 Surf City 10 Miler, finishing with a total time of 1:26:17 and an impressive overall pace of 8:37 min/mile. Starting strong, Micah maintained a consistent pace in the mid-8-minute range through the first half, with only slight fluctuations. Notably, the fastest split was recorded in the final mile with a time of 7:34, highlighting a strong finish. Micah improved placement across splits, moving from 898th to 739th overall. Throughout the race, Micah progressively improved standing positions in the male and age division categories. Finishing 548th of all male participants and 97th in the M 25-29 division showcases determined pacing and strategy. As a coach, I'd suggest continuing to focus on sustained pacing, as shown in the second half of the race, to further enhance performance in future events.
