Consistent Gains Throughout the Race Alvin Trieu demonstrated impressive consistency and steady improvement across the 10-miler at the 2026 Surf City 10. Starting strong with the first mile at 8:30 min/mile, Alvin managed to progressively trim his pace. He displayed his capacity for quick recovery and stamina with each subsequent mile, ending with his fastest pace at 7:48 min/mile in the final mile. Alvin's ability to improve across the race is a noteworthy achievement. In terms of placements, Alvin improved significantly during the race. He began at 749th overall and climbed to finish at 568th. Notably, in his M 30-34 division, he upgraded his position from 130th to 102nd by the end. This upward trend in placements across the race marks a promising performance. For future races, Alvin could focus on sustaining or slightly reducing pace fluctuation from miles 3 to 4, contributing towards an even stronger finish.
